Thanks a bunch, that’s what I figured. I thought the jagged line one looked like a blood rig but since I’ve never actually seen a blood ring, I wanted to make sure. The top one literally just looks like a cooked yolk now.
I have half a mind to do an eggtopsy ( haha) to figure out what went wrong, but I think I’ll cry.

Thank you! There’s actually a pretty comprehensive forum here about this incubator and many pros and cons people have compiled. So far if looks like the juries still out for various reasons. Someone reported malfunctions in temperature on the day of hatch due to condensation, and the company is sending people fan covers because chicks would hatch and stick their heads through. But people seem to be having good hatch rates, and for a newbie like me, it’s incredibly easy to use AND has a rotator in it. I can try to find the link to the forum for you!

I just had to do my first ever eggtopsy and I stressed myself out all day worrying...I am VERY glad I did it.
