Are these emu eggs fertile? Hatchalong

Not yet! Definitely alive and well though. Held it for a few and you can feel it kicking around. It’s so weird 😳

Goose isn’t doing a good job out there. The eggs are somewhat scattered around and not covered. They now have mud all over them. So so tempted to take the good ones back…
Will you take the good ones back? If he hasn't yet he probably won't. You will have given him a chance. And you could leave him the bad two so if he decides to sit on them you could give him the good ones back.

But Saturday is so far away...
I know… on day 50 now. It should be making noise very soon!

I did grab the three good eggs from outside. I’ll be putting them in the incubator this evening.

Do you know how many of the little ones you plan on keeping? Some? All? None?
Really depends on how many hatch. If only one hatches, i may sell it to a lady needing a female (if it’s female). I’ll keep it if it’s a male.

I really was hoping Goose would raise a couple, that way they can learn to emu. But he may not be mature enough this season.

Either way, I have a hard time letting anything go! That’s why I have so many chickens  I can just imagine filling up both 2 acre pastures with emus 🤗
