In other words, can they go OUT yet???

I'm a little anxious to put them outside but it's hot! A little cooler this week, actually, due to rain. Highs approx. 88-92. Lows in the low 70s. But it will be mid 90s and high humidity in a week.

They are still vulnerable to heavy rain events. Another two weeks and rain will not be a problem. Your temperatures will not be a problem.

How old are they? 5 or 6 weeks?

By looking at them and seeing your overnight lows, as long as the coop is dry and has even fair draft protection on the bottom where they will be sleeping I see absolutely no reason for them to not go out.

I've had a broody hen wean her chicks at three weeks, totally leaving them on their own. She had totally integrated them by that time. If you have adult chickens out there you may have some integration issues, but from a warmth standpoint, get them out now.

Ok, sorry for that little burst of excitement. Operation Eviction begins in 24 hours! Wooooo hoooo!

Ridgerunner, they will be 3 weeks old on 6/23. They shipped on a Tuesday so I'm calling Monday their birthday.

My girls were six weeks old when I put them out permanently! They are doing fine with the weather, I live in southern CA, so it doesn't get that cold at night! Maybe the lows are around 55*!
Sounds like where you live its rather warm, so I would think they would be ok!?! Good luck!
