I picked up these chickens from an add on Craigslist today that simply said "6 egg laying bantam hens $25". The seller already had them packaged for me in a cardboard box and met me in his driveway. When I got them home and clipped the flight wings I noticed 2 seemed to be roosters. My old English game jumped right on each hen as I placed them down. And then proceeded to show me who wasn't a girl. It's hard to tell because campine roosters have "henny" feathers. But not me of the 2 seem to be boys would crow as my old English was dancing and crowing up a storm thanking me for his new girlfriends. So I guess I have 2 questions. Are these true golden campines? And why are the roosters so meek? My old English is in solitary confinement until we find out. I'd like to breed true if I can. Please help me!

They are definitely bantams and they are sexually mature supposedly. And one has blue legs and a folded over come with much greater tailfeathers. I know the campines are harder to sex because the males have the same feather color as the females.

Yeah that's what I saw to but I know they've been trying to revitalize the breed for the past 15 years since they were nearly extinct in North America. Idk if it's just a culled group or what. I will get some closer pics tmrw. They are supposedly under 1 yr
