Are These Hens?

Your first EE with darker red on the comb appears to be a rooster, the rest look like ladies to me

You're barred rocks look like california greys to me, you'll know if they start popping out white eggs. They have thin body's the spotted legs, and the leghorn style tails with accompanying leghorn flop of a comb for 15-16 weeks old. They seem to be older that 15 weeks too but I say you pretty them up for a few weeks on good food and good care, take pics again and post them as they don't seem to be in the best condition atm.

Yea, I agree w/ their condition... I bought them all at a trade show in Miss. One EEer is missing all of its tail feathers, the other has about half of them, the other 2 chickens have Avian pox... They are actually looking a lot better already. I guess I'll give them a week or two and maybe post some pics again when they are healthier and see what you guys think.

I have one barred rock with the same flop as the sick hen in the first picture. She's 24 weeks today. Makes it easy to tell her from the other BR.

That chicken has avian pox, and has a big wart spot on the top of its comb and I think it is the cause of its 'flop'.
