So I can get one of those old round metal hova-bators for 25 bucks, and I was thinking of getting it to replace my LG as a hatcher, as I heard that those old metal ones are better than the new hovabators. I would guess it would need new wafers, but just need to know if people have good success with these.

Thanks!!!

got one just like that and they work great! i didn't replace the wafers on mine, but it works just fine, although i rigged a fan into mine so it's no longer a "still air"

but with ANY incubator, especially these, i recommend rotating the eggs each time you turn them. by this i mean switching the eggs closer to the wall with the eggs closer to the center.

but yeah these work great! i haven't had any huge temp swings with mine, it stays a steady 99.3 - 100.5

EDIT: The brand is called "Brower" if you ever need to buy a new part, which i doubt you will ever need to do.
