Are these Lavs....Pics included

I have not seen any pics of Lav Silkie chicks but these do not look like they will be Blue to me. Do you all think they may be Lavs?

What was the color of the parents? To be a lav, both parents must carry at least one lav gene. If the chicks are from any other color parents, then they are likely blue.

They are from a black hen and a nice lookin splash roo.

To get lav, parents need to be lav or split black (split for lav gene)

So blacks are the only color that can carry the Lav gene? Besides Lav of course.

no you can have blue splits and splash splits, but for some reason that I dont know about most use black to split with lav

its not like the BBS you have to have lavender parents somewhere to get a split which would carry the gene. Those babies bred together would produce some lavenders. Lav to Lav is only one out of 2 ways you can get lav the other is splitting w/ BBS no other way that I know about
