Im not sureYes, but can Australorps have orange eyes? All of mine have had black/brown
They can have lighter eyes, it's not uncommon.Yes, but can Australorps have orange eyes? All of mine have had black/brown
Yes, sorry. I looked at the leg colour & eye colour and they don’t look like Australorps. You don't think they are too big for Australorps?
Ok, thanks! They can have lighter eyes, it's not uncommon.
The standard requires them to have dark brown eyes, but pet quality/hatchery Australorp don't always have dark eyes.
I used to raise them.
They look like my Orpingtons. I have a white Orpy rooster and a poulet that have just the odd feather that is black, just like that. Also, my all white Orpington hen has paler eyes and legs. Interesting!Help on id...are the black and white birds orphingtons too?
I looked up the Austrwhite and I don't think that is what she is. She is way too big for one, but the comb and wattles are wrong and the leg color and the wings and body type and carriage. I have some birds her that may indeed be Austrwhites but this one in particular I am not so sure about. The white one is an AustraWhite.
The black is an Australorp.
So the confusion continues from when they were chicks. We thought we got 2 bantam EE, 3 OE, 1 Chocolate Orp, and 1 Black Australorp. We added a Golden Comet when we found out that the EEs were bantams.Easter Eggers dont always lay green or blue eggs you have a 50 percent chance of it laying blue or green.
Yours could have Maran in its lineage making the egg darker. But she is definitely a mix
Maybe a new thread then tag me. This way others can chime in toDo you mind if I post all of the pics of them here, or should I start a new post in the breeds thread?
