Chickens aren't pedigreed, unlike dogs, horses, goats, etc. There is no official registry at which to deposit paperwork and get one's animals registered. Thus, so long as they look like Australorps, there is absolutely no way of knowing whether they're pure. Because of the lack of documentation, if I owned a black Orpington that fit all of the appearance standards for an Australorp, it would be showed as an Australorp.

What you should be trying to find out is whether they fit the local (US? not sure what Pakistan uses) standard for Australorps.

For what it's worth, they look like pretty high quality birds to me. But you might try posting them here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/australorps-breed-thread.316084/page-1193 to be judged.

Thanks for your reply, I'm glad you like the quality of these birds, feedback coming from someone experienced like you clears my mind of any doubts. Now I can be more confident when dealing with the seller.

I'll also post in the BA thread, thanks for sharing that.

Basically I'm asking because recently I bought 35 australorp chicks and they started getting brown feathers (at 2 months now, see img below).

Later found out that the guy I bought them from is commercial breeder and the they're mixed with different local breeds of chickens. Don't want that to happen again.

They look pretty nice overall, but comments according to APA breed standard below:

BA feet bottoms and toe bottoms are supposed to be pinkish-white colored (NOT yellow at all). Pinkish-white is the description used in the APA standard. Black shanks and toes (shading to dark slate in adults).

Breed standard in APA says disqualifications include: more than 1/2" of positive white in ANY part of surface plumage, or two or more feathers tipped or edged with positive white. pics seems to show white, but could be lighting.

Interestingly, the breed standard says 5 points on the single upright comb...yours have more than that. the front point should be shorter than the other 4 points.

Beaks are supposed to be black...the beaks here look like could have lighter color on them (but could be the lighting)

Comb, face, wattles, ear lobes: bright red (should not be any white or white streaks).
