Thanks so muchI think they are probably Easter Eggers (chickens that lay blue or green eggs, but do not belong to any specific breed.)
It is fairly common for stores and hatcheries to sell chicks labeled "Araucanas" or "Ameraucanas" or various wrong spellings of those names, when the chicks are actually Easter Eggers.
The lady might have bought chicks that were labeled "Araucana," and assumed the name was correct.
