They're all about 3.5 weeks old.

1-my favorite of course. looks very rooish to me but I'm very new to chickens.

Also-what breed(s) are 1-3? I posted when they were about 1.5 weeks old and some people said 1 was maybe a Delaware. Does that seem right now that they're more feathered?

they all look roo to me for that age (though if it's any consolation I did have a BR last year who looked just like yours at that age who is now one of my best hens).....

Has everyone else found this to be true? I have a RIR chick (5 weeks old) that we named Lucky because it survived a brooder fire (never clamp a lamp to a Rubbermaid "brooder"!) I am desperately hoping that it is a pullet, as "she" and I have been through a lot together, and I can't have a roo. This chick is a lap chick, always preferring human company to chicken company. Am I destined to have a roo based on personality? There is very little pinking of the comb at this point, and the comb itself is not very large, but I have no other experience with this breed.

I don't know about common breeds, but I find that so for my Ameraucanas - The boys are the sweetest, most outgoing ever! And the girls, well, they're as shy as my Marans. . . Hoping that will change when they start laying eggs though.
