Are these roost ok?

Hmm, wondering what you could put up there to deter them. Or is there possibly a way to seal it off? Doesn't have to be fancy... I'd probably be making curtains with duct tape and feed bags or something.
I was wondering that also. I can get in. We made it tall enough and there is an access in the back. I may have to seal it up and physically put them on the bars for a couple of nights. I honestly didnt think they would jump up there

Chickens will try to get on anything that's available... I've been up on a metal ladder and looked down to see a hen sitting on a rung under my feet. :)

Ok, so for now I just covered it off with some netting in had left over from my garden. The sides are covered with hardware cloth so this is mainly for the purpose of keeping the birds off. I also noticed only 2 are sleeping up there. The rest on the roost. I sanded down the edges for a smoother, rounded feel. Also, dont laugh at my poop board. Its temporary until we build one but it's been over 100 here and I dont want to sweat 😂
