Really? They can start laying when they are that small? She is bigger than a pigeon but much smaller than my 4 adult hens

How old is she? As far as I can tell, she looks like a 5-7 month old bantam pullet, and with a comb that red, I'm surprised she hasn't given you any eggs yet.

Im not sure how old she is...I got her and another hen about her size on friday with the roosters...

Roosters have been returned to the farm we bought them from for a refund....we have our flock of 6 hens right now....will add 2 more hens soon. thanks for all the help!

You are correct Colonel!!!! She laid an egg today next to the pool equipment....the the hens have been using the same nest box...any suggestions on how to get this girl to do the same?

Try leaving a couple golf balls or ping pong balls in the nesting box for her. She'll get the idea pretty soon.
