Roosters or hens?

I thought that was breed specific, but is it in all breeds?

It's not a rule in all breeds but I believe these may be Barnyard Mixes and the mixed breeds often pop that rust color.

Good catch. I saw the red leakage on the white one which is what make me confident he's a cockerel but missed it on the black one.

For the original thread poster.. rust colored leakage around the shoulders is male specific.

Thanks for all of the information. Looks like we only have 2 hens now instead of 4.
