Are these saddle feathers?

So the consensus so far has been that our buff brahma is a lady.... But lately these feathers showed up on her back.

Are these the dreaded saddle feathers? Is this for sure an indication of maleness? (s)he doesn't have much in the way of a comb or waddle...

I can't quite tell from the photo, but the ones you don't want to see would be thin and pointy, instead of fatter and round at the ends. Looks girly to me from what I can tell . . . fingers crossed for you!
I had the same debate going with a pullet I got earlier this year - I even broke down and spent $20 to have her DNA tested. Yay! In my case she turned out to really be a she. Hope yours is too.

Yay Chicks - it's not necessary to have pictures of the entire bird as only the males get saddle feathers.
