I was wondering, I went to a place who had chickens just covered with these mites on there legs she told me that these scaly mites are not contagious. I found that hard to believe so I am asking you all here. I didn't even get eggs from her. I left in a hurry. These are contagious aren't they I asked her and she said not really and that you could dip the feet in karosene to kill the mites. If that was all it takes then why hasn't she done it, I can't believe anyone would leave a animal without treatment.
