Are these show quality BTM cochins ?

I agree completely. When I was trying to help Judy (Gantt) take some pics, her birds are gorgeous, but if the bird doesn't cooperate, that does not come across in pictures. All the bidder has to tell what they should bid on is pictures. I'd take a bunch of pics of each one and choose the best several of each, personally. You cannot, IMO, have too many pictures. Those pics didn't come out to show them well, no offense. Birds can be so uncooperative, believe me, I know! I also know, though, that I've had some GORGEOUS birds that wouldn't sell...I put new pics on, much better and they went incredibly well. (Several different times this has happened to me, not this year, but just giving my experience. Good or bad pics, cooperative birds, etc. have a lot to do with bids.)

Do you have nice weather right now? If so, I'd totally suggest getting outside between 2-4 pm and taking some nice pics in the sun. If you have grass right now, even better. If you take your time, the birds will cooperate without realizing it as they are grazing in the grass.

Good luck!

(Oh, to get more pics on an eggbid auction, use this code within your description minus the *'s <*img src=yourpictureurlhere*>

Seperate them by lines/paragraphs by putting <*br*> or <*p*> again, without the *'s.

No, please don't! I posted code in the last one. It's best to put all pics in the description. A lot of people won't waste their time e-mailing. I know I rarely do any more b/c people rarely got back to me. I normally just hit the back button if the pics aren't on there. And, definitely, you need multiple pics of each bird to show them, truly.

Thanks for the help asher ill try and figure it out . AS far as weather we have a few inches of snow ! will birds in the snow look good ?? I doubt it

Is she broody? She's all pancake looking! hehe Makes it hard to see her cushion, feet feathers, if she has vulture hocks, etc. which are all things I'd look at as a buyer to determine if I was interested.

Actually, I've seen some gorgeous pics of chickens in snow. Some silver laced LF cochins, actually. Just breathtaking. Those blacks might look good in it and I bet they won't be sitting down b/c it'll be too cold!

I dont think you would win any shows with them , but you also would not be embarrassed bringing them to a show (that is as long as toes and feathering are correct).

Are you sure these are hens and not pullets (under 1 year old).

By the way I agree with all the advice you have received about posting pictures on the auction as well as not making a big deal about Show Quality.
Reasoning: many people take SQ to mean that they have show winners in their blood line. You of course do not know this to be true.

Saying something, like , you would not be embarrased to bring these birds to any APA show, might be appropriate though (as long as feathers and toes are good to go).

I dont care if they win shows or not i just need to find them a new home . SO many birds not enoupg space lol

One of the black hens may be a pullet (1st pic) But the second hen laid an egg yesterday .

The white hen might be a pulllet to . I assumed they were laying eggs and that the pheasants were just eating them . THe pheasants left yesterday so we shall see .

The REASON people are mentioning shows, is because if you post show quality, people are going to be looking for birds that will win shows. If you do not care about whether they are show quality or not, just put breeder quality and call it good.

Let the bidding increase from there with breeders who know what they're looking for.

Quick question...are these birds sitting down or standing up in these photos? Because they almost look as though they are squatting or sitting down.
