Are these silkies pure or crossed?

I think it is normal, Upbred animals don't all look 100% the same as they are not clones. With very good stock, I think the "excellent" average is ~90%. I would never buy just a couple of chicks from somewhere and expect to get only excellence because of the 1 in 10. Your birds look like they could got to the fair and win prizes.
Really? That’s cool. Thanks! 😊

What are the differences between silkies and Chinese silkies? Where can Chinese silkies be purchased?
Chinese silkies are the originals, more so like a Landrace Breed. TSC gets them from Hoover's Hatchery, & are commonly sold as "Bantams." Some hatcheries sell them as Broiler Silkies.

American Silkies are bred from the Chinese silkie to be bantam sized, extra fluffy, & have a more consistent walnut comb.

I found this, It states that Silkies in USA are only official in Bantam(they are big Bantams, though), whereas in Europe they also have Standard size. There are also a few spinoffs of the original two, such as: Showgirl, Broilers, etc. but they seem to have been gotten through crossbreeding.

There's tons of mixed information out there floating around on what a Bantam should weigh. There's lots of variability.

In the US, but it makes no sense since bantams are classed by size, & weight. Bantams in general are 2lbs, & under.(Some are classed at 3lbs depending on variety)

Largefowl in general are 3lbs, & over.(8-10lbs)

Broiler Silkies weren't produced through cross breeding. They're another name for Chinese silkies.

Largest Silkie Cockerel/Rooster from Hoover's I had last year was alittle over 5lbs. He's alittle over 2ft tall.

The hens I have currently are beasts with their size.

😯 Whoa, that’s a big boy!
Yes, he was.

I'm working on giant silkies in which I'm using LF Silkies.

This boy here is Silkie/Brahma X Silkie. Project is on pause for now, but hoping to start it up again next year. This boy is obviously alittle mixed, but just to add more size, & color.
