Well,are these things normal?
My silkie really loves to sit on my shoulder/hand
My two chicks are ABSOLUTELY INSEPARABLE
My chicks like to sleep on my lap
My chicks are really friendly
My chicks enjoy being inside with humans
They all in all are WAY friendly

People often make house pets out of silkies. I know a lady who has 2 seramas and two silkies - as housepets. She has kept various breeds as pets over the past 22 yrs. I guess it works for her.

Silkies are very nice birds! I once had a really sweet house chicken (not silkie) it was fun! You should try it!

When my girl was inside she would always fly onto my shoulder/head towards dusk, I figure it's a roosting instinct. But she was so friendly and would love to sleep on my lap and stay with me as much as she could, so yes, all of these things are normal!

Unfortunately all of my chicks were killed by coons

Oh I am so sorry! Predators are just awful. The coop and run need to be built like fort knox. They are sly and smart. Are you planning on starting over? I am so sorry.
