Are these two chickens the same breed?

Are these two chickens the same breed just different colors or do I have a red sex link and a buff orpington?

Buff Orps have white legs, and your two have yellow legs, which are right for red sex links. That;s one thing.

Also, the color is uneven, with areas of white and red. The fact that one is paler than the other makes sense because red sex links are variable in color because they are hybrids, not a pure breed.

Since you guys know so much about them let me ask this... im trying to get a very colorful egg basket and ive got every color now but pinkish. Would yall recommend salmon faverolle or barred rock? I heard both can produce pinkish eggs.

Yea but which is better? The salmon faverolles are really hard to find in my area
