Those weren't Faverolles then.

I've not heard of barred rocks making pinkish eggs. I would try Faverolles, Sussex or Orpingtons for that color.

We have 4 BRs laying, one puts a heavy bloom on most days and turns the egg a pale pink, but like others have said, it isn't guaranteed. From top to bottom. These eggs are: GC, BR, RIR, BR with heavy bloom, and BA. The camera doesn't pick their true colors up the best but it is a pastel pink.

Yeah, my Orpington lays pinkish-brownish eggs! She lays every day, and they are all beautiful eggs.

Oh yea duh my Australorp lays white. My silkies eggs are almost pink but not really. Here's what im getting and I just added some marans to the group
