Are these two hens?

these are my two chickens. One is a black silkie and I was told the other was a silkie easter egger mix. Only one has layed eggs so far(only 4 since i've had them, is that normal?), the EE mix. I was told they were both hens but i don't know how to tell. They are a litttle over a year old.

Also what breed(or mix of breeds) would the brown colored chicken be. She has feathered feet with five toes as well.
 
They are both hens. The brown one looks like a silkie x EE. Silkies aren't known for their laying ability, so you won't get too many eggs. Slow laying could also be from the stress of moving.
 
thank you.. would silkie roosters make alot of noise like other breeds. .. or are they somewhat quiet?
 
They can be loud, but they're generally quieter than large fowl males.
