At this point I see no male specific feathering. Perhaps someone with younger eyes will chime in.

Have they crowed? I don't really see any indicators of a male on the white one, but the barred looks like a cockerel to me, at least.

I think they’re just pullets coming into lay

Haven't heard ant crowing yet.
they go "head to head" sometimes.
even at 2 months old they seemed pretty red!
I was about to give them away!

I agree. For 16 weeks old and with their feathering, I'd be very confident those are both pullets.

Have either of them squatted for you? Probably not if you thought they were cockerels but I was just curious.

No squatting! They're usually pretty busy free ranging on my large property
