Are they beautiful or what? (My new MARANS EGGS!!)

Beautiful eggs! Here's wishing you a 100% hatch!

Kentucky Specks are a breed I know almost nothing about. They lay a small white egg and are a small bird, but bigger then a bantam. They can have a rose comb or a single comb.

They are pretty but just kinda remind me of small exchequer leghorns. The roosters just have a bit of red instead of all black and white.

They are gorgeous. Thanks for posting the pics. I had been curious about Cree Farms because they are in the Pacific Northwest, so it's nice to see what people are getting from them. Best of luck with your hatch-you have a lot of eggs there so you should get a nice little flock of chicks.

O yes, Cree Farms were very good and nice to me. They met me half way in Tacoma so I would not have to drive all the way and not have to take the ferry accross to their house. Although that would have been kind of fun I think.
I will order some Ameracuannas from them one of these days too. They have nice birds.

Yes, the Kentucky Specks do look like an
exchequer leghorn. I never heard of them before so I looked them up. I really have to find out more about the Kentucky Specks chickens from the man I got the eggs from. I really don't know what they are for or when the breed started up or anything. I doubt they are an egg chicken as the eggs are very small. I might see the man I got them from on Wednsday and get back to you all about the Specks.
