Howdy all,

I have four cameo pea chicks that are about 4 months old and am wondering if I have boys or girls. I only have 3 pictured here because one is in the garage being treated for a scratched eye. I am new to peas so let me know what you think or if I need to take more pictures from a certain angle. Thanks!

Do you know what color the mom and dad were? i can not tell from the photos but they do look a bit younger than 4 months, mine were as big as a turkey hen size wise when they were 4 months old, of course it could just be the photo making them look small.
I love cameos, i only have one but am hopping for more soon.

here are some of mine the week they turned 4 months old

WOW! Maybe I was mislead on their ages? I was told they were close to three months when I bought them and that was over a month ago? They are no where near the size of yours, I would say more like 8-10 inches tall. In theory both parents are cameo but there is a possibility of their being a black shoulder cameo in one of the breeding pens they are from.

Oops, forgot to add that the breeder said they could be sexed at about 4 months based on barring fading or becoming more prominent?

They are so beautiful at 4 months. I thought it took a lot longer for them to mature.
