which I kinda think the LOVE it and kinda think there FREAKED out by it...I mean momma HAS been watching them for the past 2 wks and just threw em out in the garage where I don't walk by a million times a day (even though i've checked on them...A LOT)

Anyways, they keep going over and under the heat lamp and laying down spreading there wings out--are they trying to soak in as much heat as they can b/c there COLD or cause there just COMFY? AHH!!! We have a 250watt red on it but the brooder itself is pretty big and not sure if its warm enough! They seam to walk around still but IDK!

I am having the same issue. Went from our loft to our shed. They are all laying in a little pile under the lamp, but not so much that they look cold and uncomfortable. I guess we'll have to wait and see in the morning! I have 6 that just turned 3 weeks, and are starting to feather a little, so I am hoping they will be okay. Update us in the AM!

It's FL...so there not going to be frozen

lol...but i'm a worry wort and there's only 5 of them so it's not like they have large numbers to cuddle but just went out to check on them and there all sprawled out not under light but around so i'm guessing there comfy? I put a blanket on part of it (away from the light) to hold in the heat more! I'm assuming if there sleeping there feeling ok??

Will update in am! Thanks!

If they are spread out away from the lamp they are fine. I would actually remove the blanket. You don't want them to overheat.

If they huddle RIGHT under the lamp, they are cold and you should lower it a little. If they spread their wings, they are plenty warm.
