So my babies will be 7 weeks old on Monday. We are in NC and its hot as hades outside at night. So I dont think they are gonna be hot. I 'm a first time chicken mama. They are currently sleeping beside the brooder and not under it and even roosting on their perch I gave them. Do they look /sound ready to you? Coop will be ready next friday. Let me tell ya....they are getting to be stinky messy. I could go a week and a half between bedding changes, but now its every 4-5 days and smells to high heaven!

They are more than ready! If possible, transition them gradually so they can get used to the temperature difference between the brooder and outside.
