Are they starving?

I have given them wet mash since day one, but keep dry available all day. They've been very avid to get their wet mash, but today! OMGosh they fell on it like they were dying, and I gave them well over what I gave yesterday.

They'll be a week old tomorrow. I hate cliches, but they really are growing like weeds.

As long as they have food available to eat whenever they want it, it is highly unlikely that they are starving. They might be getting a little older and more aware of the difference between food and really good food.

Enjoy the fun! Wet mash for my chicks was their favorite time of day! I gave it to them before bed every night, and they would bum-rush me when I opened the door! They would fill up, and one by one head under the heat plate as it got dark.

They are definitely not starving if they have dry food all day! I think they think wet mash is like dessert!

Mine too I can give them it in a bowl and they prefer it out of my hand . Also my favorite part of day.
