Are they too picky?

Got my birds (6 pullets) on Friday - they are about 3 months old. I have offered all kinds of table scraps (thinking goats with feathers). They refuse cantelope, raisins, pineapple, banana, cucumber, cereal. They love bread, corn, meat. They will reluctantly eat peas & carrots. They ate weeds that I picked out of my garden.

I was looking forward to reducing leftover waste!

Are some chickens just more picky?

Mine change what they will eat day to day. Some days they love tomatoes and others it just sits in their run. You could start a compost heap.
