Are Turkens known to be mean

to other chickens? I am thinking mine are.

Some of mine are bullies to the younger chickens I moved into the coop with them. I haven't had any that were mean to other chickens they have been raised with, no matter the breed.

Most birds are mean to younger birds because they haven't earned their place in the flock. My naked necks were no meaner than my Java (she is actually very brutal) or silkies

In my most recent case, I bought and raised my youngest turkens and partridge rocks at the same time. I introduced my easter eggers that were a couple weeks younger. The partridge rocks don't pay any attention the the easter eggers at all and never bother them. Some of the turkens will guard the food and water and will go out of their way to approach the easter eggers that aren't near them and chase them. As an aside, I've never had partridge rocks before these new ones and I'm really enjoying them. They are really nice, really pretty birds.

My partridge stands alone. She doesn't care who's around so long as some one is and she eats and drinks while sharing. No guarding or chasing
