hi, I've had chickens for (4years) now my town says i cant have them, now my law only states i cant have chickens, it doesn't say any thing about other birds, only that i can have "domesticated" animals, here is the law KEEPING OF CERTAIN ANIMALS REGULATED.

It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, maintain, house or allow upon his premises, whether such premises be owned outright by such person or leased from another, within the corporate limits, cows, horses, mules, chickens, bees or other non-domesticated animals, unless activity was in operation or existing prior to 1975.

so I'm looking for something to replace my chickens, i miss them very much! so I'm looking into other birds but they need to be domesticated, (like chickens weren't) I'm in the city limits, but its very rural where i live, also, if i read this law right,(please let me know if i didnt read it right) it looks like i can have goats, donkeys & pigs!! lol, not that i want too, id rather have my chickens!! so im looking for something close to chickens, thanks!

I really thought i would be alright, about not having my chickens, but for some reason ....I'm not! i truly miss them, i tried to change the ordinance, but i lost, moving is not an option right now, so I'm looking to find a replacement, i still have my coop & run up, just need it filled! so i was thinking turkeys?? i just cant believe that chickens are singled out! and they are domesticated!
