Are vaccines 100% when it comes to illnesses. Such as MG and mereks

Vaccination has NOTHING to do with GMO.

Keep studying.

Also, very few things pass from hen to chick - Salmonella is the most obvious, because the bacteria that causes it lodges in the birds ovaries. Also, Mycoplasma, and some really rare stuff.

There is no Salmonella vaccine. There is one for MG in chickens, though in commercial focks, they simply destroy the infected birds and start over. A practice I am prepared to follow myself (as an NPIP participant, my birds are tested annually, and I've agreed in advance to do so in the case of an infected flock).
Yes, of course vaccinations have nothing with gmos, it was my other question. How to get really clean chick 🐣

Sorry, I didn't make the connection.

I hatch my own, from unvaccinated stock several generations back. If you can't buy unvaccinated locally, that's likely your best option - breed out any trace of foreign introductions - and research what they are vaccinated with. I'd bet no common vaccines are vertically transmitted.

That’s amazing! Where do you located? Can I get a deal with you?

There is a vacine for Salmonellosis. Most battery hens are vacinated at 12 weeks.
Is there? I apologize, I only found something for one or two strains of one cause of salmonellosis. TY for the correction. I should have searched better/longer

No worries I didn't know myself until recently. You might get better searh results by looking for Reovirus Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale.

IIRC, vaccination against Salmonella is more common in Europe than in the US. I don't know why or if this has changed in the time since I first learned about it a decade or more ago.
I don't think the US has a salmonella vaccine. At least, not one available to anyone besides factory farms. I've only seen mareks and Newcastle options when I get mine

But the mother is still loaded with V, but I got your point. And, and source of GMO chickens? New farm student here )) . Thank tu
Antibodies produced from having received a vaccine are not passed on to offspring.
