    Yepper, they eat-alot!! I have 22 and they go through about 14 lbs in 2 days! They're only 10-6 wk olds. Good luck!

    Free range them. This cuts way down on my feed bill.

    THe average adult chicken eats 1/4lb / day
    So lets say all your are full grown.
    35x.25x7=61 lbs.
    So I think your right on target.

    Quote:Good math. Kinda surprising aint it?

    Its even more surprising when you learn that 70% of what a chicken eats - goes right back out as manure! [IMG]

    A good rule of thumb is 4oz a day per bird
