Are wood stove pellets safe ?

I just started using them myself a lot less aggravation and good footing, less crap in the water. I am sold.

How are the pellets as far as cost? Do they compare to shavings?

I think the bag I bought was five bucks. It was not wood stove pellets but the bedding label. I think I paid about as much as you can pay. I have a brooder four by eight and used the whole bag. I probably would not have needed to. It has lasted for about four weeks now with a little freshening from time to time.
