Are y'all weeds bad in my run?

As long as you don't mind having long grass, my chickens enjoy having the long grass.

I dont think it would be an issue unless any of the weeds are poisonous

You should cut down that grass soon, when the chickens eat a lot of long strands of grass it can cause them to have a impacted crop.

Chickens should gobble it up. Are the chickens turned our in this area? I would let them graze it down instead of doing it yourself. They'll benefit from it.

I have acres of weeds. Its only a problem if they are the wrong sorts of weeds - and if you have enough of the right sorts, the chickens will almost entirely leave the wrong sorts alone.

So your answer, truthfully, is "it depends".

But they should absolutely have grit.

When I get grass/weeds in my coop the chickens eat em up. Your chickens will be fine if there are weeds I personally think the chickens like the weeds in the coop!
