Are You A Brinsea Owner? - April Hatch Along - Prize: Ecoglow Brooder!

I'm in! Polish due on 4/6 and silkies due on 4/11. Can't wait for my babies to come, this is my first hatch ever! I love my Eco 20 so far, I have not had any problems with temp, solid as a rock!

I have eggs that are due tomorrow, started pipping yesterday, and I have 3 hatched so far. We're waiting on the rest. Lots of pips!

I set 17 wheaton/blue wheaton ameraucanas last saturday at noon. They are due the 23rd of April

Here is my entry! We set 17 eggs and have 11 hatched so far. I haven't given up on the rest of the eggs, but thought I'd show you what we have so far. These are black Java chicks from eggs from my own flock.

Several more hatched last night, and I see 2 more pips. Waiting on the rest!

Lock-down starts today. I'm losing my mind I think I have 79 coturnix eggs in the bator. There's a bunch anyway. I've never hatched anything but yard birds. I have my fingers & toes crossed. I'm hoping for at least 40 iddy's & from what I've seen they are really small.

HA! HA HA HA!! You're hoping for 40 out of 79?!? You'll probably end up with closer to 75! I swear that Coturnix would hatch in a refrigerator; they pop like popcorn!

LOL I guess we're hatch buddies this time around as I just set duck eggs due 4/28.

for the both of us! what are you running your humidity at? i'm running 55 the 1st 25 days then upping it to 80-85 for hatching. hoping this produces a better hatch than my last duck egg hatch attempt were none hatched.
this site was given to me by the person i bought the eggs from
http://ahdc.vet.cornell.edu/sects/duck/hatcduck.html

I just hatched 15/16 Rouen duck eggs and ran my humidity at 40-45% days 1-25, and then upped it to 70-75% at hatch time. Had a 93% hatch rate, so not complaining! The one that didn't make it had zipped but never poked a hole in the membrane, so it smothered before I realized what was happening.
