Are You A Brinsea Owner? - April Hatch Along - Prize: Ecoglow Brooder!

Well, out of the 24 eggs that I set - 23 made it to lockdown - 21 hatched and are at the barn in a brooder. Not too bad!

Now the fun of cleaning the monumental, stinky mess they made in that incubator!!!

How do things that are so cute make such a disgusting mess?!!!

I'm IN!!!!
I just put 8 silkie eggs in my Brinsea R-Com. Yes, it is technically a 3 egg bator, but I've had success with more. I must turn each egg by hand, but that's fine by me!

The silkie eggs are my first eggs of the season. They are from my flock of silkies, which I hatched from eggs purchased from auctions right here on BYC!

My birds come from Kelar, Ultra1Classic, and MRobbins. They are the most gorgeous silkies I've ever seen, so let's see how the eggs do. These are their first eggs, so it will be more of a "test run". I have not trimmed their vent feathers, so I'm not sure if the eggs will even be fertile (they have very fuzzy butts lol!).
I guess we'll wait and see, huh? I'll be reporting on fertility in about 5 days.

**By the way, I hatched the original eggs last year in my Brinsea also. I used both the R-com and my Eco 20. Very dependable, excellent incubators!**

Back later with photos, and I need to open a facebook account now too.

I took them myself ... I'm not a pro by any means, just a photography enthusiast.

They are so cute I have 30 Silkie eggs in 2 Brinsea Octogon 20 due to hatch on April 7 (21 eggs) and April 8 (9)

The chicks turned out very cute. I'm sure yours will be as adorable!

Well, I got my incubator and got eggs set in it last night. I set silkie and sizzle eggs in it. I do not remember how many, will have to look. I also stuffed 3 turkeys eggs and did incubator tetris, but those will end up in another incubator before to long.
