Are You a NASCAR Fan???

I have been a member since July and I have seen fans of everything except NASCAR.... So, I was just wondering, who of you are fans? And who is your favorite driver. Also, lets keep this post polite please!!!! If you do not agree with who a person likes... please keep your thoughts to yourself.

I'll start.... The whole family is big into NASCAR
Me - #48 Jimmy Johnson
DH - #24 Jeff Gordon
DS - #8/#88 Dale Jr.
DD - #9 Kasey Kahne
DD (lil Jess) who ever drives the M&M car LOL
DS - Not a fan
DD - Watches but does not have favorite driver.

I was a fan for many years but once DE died, I lost interest fast! I watched a little last year and still admire Dale Jr. and Jimmie Johnson. Where in VA are you located? VA is my home state and I lived there most of my life (the last 12 years I've been in OH).

TwinCreek - Yah, alot of fans left when the Dale tragety happened. My DS was a huge Dale Sr. fan, keeping with tradition, he went to Dale Jr.

No way! I have family from Piney River! In fact, most of my family on my fathers side are burried in Amherst Cemetary. I used to go to Pappy's (I think thats what it was called) alot when i was little!

Piney River is not to far from us... kids love to go down there in the summer. Pappy's Closed it's doors last summer. Send me an email... LOL... you probably know my husband and his family!!!!

I liked DE because my dad's name is Dale. Now, I like Dale Jr. because he's hot. But trust me, I don't watch the races!

I just pay attention to the Bud Lite commercials!

I became a true fan of Nascar in 2006 when my husband and I were invited to the Brickyard.
Got my true taste of what it really about seeing a race in person is way better than watching it on tv. My husband likes Matt Kenseth and I root for Tony Raines. My husband worked with his father for a couple of years before he passed away. So we've known him since he was in his teens. He was originally from La Porte, In.
It is kinda of getting boring since it seems that the same people are winning all the time. But of course I keep watching.

I'm a Dale Jr fan, was before his dad died too. Also vote for truex jr. And like true nascar fan wote against all things hendrix What will I do next year, vote for Jr and hope 24/48 bounce off each other and finish last. However I do admire what those two do for charities etc..... Heard Jimmy gave all his earnings from todays race (which he won) to victims of CA fires and Bruton Smith and Lowes said they would match those funds too. I know he makes millions but even so most that make that much just pocket it and go on. Truth be told lots of the bigger names have thier own charities and give lots back, you just dont see that in other sports.

I've been a fan since the early 70's.
All my favorite drivers have retired or have died.

I'm still a fan, just root for different drivers because I don't really have a favorite.

I hated NASCAR until my daughter got interested in it in the 5th grade. Her favorite is Tony Stewart. Of course I share her interest but Mark Martin is my favorite since he is from Arkansas. I like Dale Jr. and I like to see the guy do the backflips from his car when he wins.
