Ahm... Not exactly a "prepper" in the sense of stocking up. My dad and I have begun work on an organic raised bed vegetable garden, does that count? We don't have any REAL guns... yet. My dad wants a shotgun.
It's a less "extreme" way of preparing for the economic Depression headed our way. That's half the reason we got chickens! Not exactly TEOTWAWKI, but oh well.
I'm sort of a prepper. Unlike many of the articles you'll read about us, we're not all right wing, religious zealot, militia types. Some of us just want to be prepared in case of an emergency like a natural disaster or epidemic or loss of finances. Towards that end we do have a store of food put away, we can our own food, our chickens and gardens and orchards provide us with food and we keep extra dry supplies......just in case.

That is what the guns and ammo are for, silly!!!
I too thought this was about being a "Prep" like in high school.
I think about what would happen if "Jericho" (loved that show) happened, even asked husband how far out a bomb would hit. We have deer meat and canned veggies & fruit and the chickens but really nowhere near what one would need. Have the guns too but I'd still say we're not really preppers.
I would not say I am a Prepper, but I collect little bottles of booze and have a full wine rack. I very rarely drink. Does not hurt to have some around.
I always joke they are for nuclear disaster.
I have guns and ammo, a cupboard full of food.
Camping equip. 4 generators, ect, ect... My DH can build anything.
Not really preparing for the end of the world but it doesn't hurt to be prepared does it????
We have Ice storms here the power can be out for weeks. Also fire place and lots of wood.
Some would say yes! Several of our dear friends have said..."I know where I am heading, in case of an emergency! " Few are as prepared as we are but we have things we still need to save for..
