Not sure, I'd have to ask my grandparents. I just know that most of my family grew up there and in that area. The other part of my family who aren't from there are from rural areas up north.

It all depends on the place your from, the whole test is based off of pronunciation of words, half those words I pronounced supposedly like a "Yankee."

I'm glad that WV is its own state i find it funny that that quiz tells you whether you're a YANKEE or a rebel based on how you pronounce words plus, you gotta remember, I'm a seventh generation native Californian XD
