The Costa Rica Gardening Yahoo group may be another source of information. But now that I think about it, I asked about Penedesencas on there and didn't get a response.

The Costa Rica Gardening group was hacked some time back, for sometime it was sending out porn stuff, perhaps that is when you posted there.It is now free of porn and back as it was, I do get a post from it every now and then.

I did not know that Silkies were Bantams.
I am going by the Banties that were here when we moved in. I just know they are smaller than the regular size hens.

Do you know where can I find the names of other Bantams that might be here?

He should have lots of information about what kinds of bird fanciers there are and possibly phone numbers and such. He of course has several kinds of fancy chickens and bantams.

Yeah. During the hacking period I deleted all messages without reading them. It's slowly coming to life. Actually I asked the question a couple years ago. Maybe CR gardeners aren't into chickens.

By the way, has anyone on this thread heard of Penedesencas in CR? I know they're in Argentina and have heard that they are in Central America.

Do you know if he speaks English? My spanish is very limited.

I would like to get a small banty hen & a regular size hen; both good layers to go with the 2 that are here.
