If that's not already against the law, we need to MAKE it a crime somehow. From what I can tell, stealing animals and sterilizing them seems to be a favorite tactic of these *insert expletive of choice* . You shouldn't be allowed to surgically and irreparably alter someone else's property and livelihood until AFTER a conviction.

I'm on a lot of other animal forums, and I'm seeing lots of posts like this. AR groups seem to like attacking smaller groups to gain power. Pet breeders over here, dog sledders there, hunters over there. It reminds me of a quote:

" First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me. "

AR is so powerful because we let them be. What if everyone involved in animal ownership stood up to them? What if Big AG farmers, small homesteaders, zookeepers, pet owners, breeders, horse racers, 4-H, dog sledders, horse riders, hunters, fur farmers, fishers, search and rescue handlers, police dog handlers, service animal owners, circus, exotic animal keepers, petting zoos, and backyard chicken keepers put aside personal biases for a little while and all got together to make laws to keep them in check? Or to make a watchdog group to keep an eye on big AR organizations? If we don't speak out for others, who's going to be left to speak out for us when they come for backyard chicken keepers?

She doesn't seem EVIL overall. But she's also not licensed as required. So meh. I'm not sure where I stand.

Do swamp coolers even work very well in CO? I know they don't work for us because it's too humid so it just jacks up the humidity.
