Hoping to hatch 8 duck eggs!
Wiggler temp was 102 this morning on day 3. What I don't understand is the air temps (2 different probe thermometers) are always at least a couple degrees cooler than the water probe. Doesn't make sense to me, I keep thinking the water is going to cool down too much but even from the first it was:
--------turns on ------- turns off
"inside" (air) 92.8 ---------------- 99.9
"outside" (probe) 99.7----------- 100.6
When it turns off the air temp goes down to mid or low 90s. I'm glad the water temp is holding steady, but I don't like it creeping up. I dunno how this is possible, but I'm not a physicist. The wiggler isn't near the bulb and I do have a fan (aimed upwards) I have a BUNCH of tupperwares full of water for heat sinks.
