They are sooo loud and annoying. Grrr!

I want some simply b/c our ticks are so bad this year, but I keep reminding myself that I gave away 10 almost grown ones b/c I couldn't stand the noise and then my aunt had to give them away b/c her neighbor (who works 3rd shift) couldn't sleep and started sending warning shots over her property. EEK!

So...yeah..they're LOUD!

That's all I got. ;-)

Loud, not very tame, love to roam off your property and sometimes disappear, Ugly (too some)

But...
They do eat ticks and keets are very cute

Very loud and if you don't clip wings they LOVE to roost in the trees, they also seem to prefer the tree closest to your bedroom. And if you have a new baby the tree closest to the baby's room!

One con is that when they are babies, they like to freak out and pile up in the brooder, injuring each other. They are more likely to do this and get hurt than turkeys, who are somewhat notorious for piling up. I started with 6 and two of mine were injured. One had to be culled. It is really sad when they are perfectly healthy except for damaged feet or legs.

That said, they are beautiful when running the yard, especially a flock of lavender....
