You're probably right about EE pullet. I just was sidelined by the sparring that she does with the cockerel, I've seen pullets do that, but not all the time like those two do. And she's just a Tomboy personality. But you're right; no cape, no saddle feathers. Guess that'll teach me to argue with the hatchery. Thanks for the input.
Wait a few weeks for the gender, please. That way, if it is a cockerel, the saddle feathers will have plenty of time to show up.
And if they aren't there, then a pullet it is!
Ok, well..the mystery deepens! Nike, the aforementioned EE, is now almost five months old. And TODAY..He/ she/ it...began crowing. OK, I know hens can crow....and this one is not chasing the pullets and hens around yet...but we'll see! I'm still gonna stick with my original guess at this point....and say...it's a cockerel. I'll post an updated pic as soon as I can get a good one.
