TELL ME ABOUT IT!! I was checking out the incubators online. The Brinseas. I am hooked! I had chickens many years ago but never had this much fun. I never knew this fun chicken community existed. I bought the Mad City Chickens CD. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Anyone have ideas for my poor EE hen? I posted this in the injuries, etc forum.....but would love your input too.....

I'm hoping this is temporary paralysis....considering how she was when I found her I am amazed at how alert she is right now. I didn't think she was going to make it 20 minutes and it's been 3 hours or so since she's been out from where she was trapped.

Another down size...

1 still air Hovabator
(I used them as hatchers)
1 still air Little Giant

1 Forced Air TX6 (no turner) and I lined the floor with 1/4 x 1/4 hardware cloth so I didn't have to worry about anyone falling in the water pan below (much better than the manufacturers idea)

10 Phoenix hens and 2 Roos. Laying. A year old.

A hand full of pet quality white Silkies. About 12 weeks old. Maybe they were from my new years day hatch. I can't remember.

I may randomly get rid of a few other chickens too. I just need to figure it out.

Maybe ill be getting rid of brooder buckets too. I have to wait til the quy who got the quail to pick them up to see what I don't need.

Paco might need a new home too. (He's a house bird)

Also, a cat that lives outside had kittens in my drive way. I locked her in the back bathroom. I'm not sure how long til I can give them to new families. But when they are old enough they need a home. I'm not sure if they are boys or girls.

Not an oxygen issue. When I gas quail I add CO2 to the box and oxygen leaves the box. A quail can be on the verge of death and get one wif of fresh air and its fine two seconds later. Are you sure it was a yolk and not nasty poo? When my hen was egg bound she squated a lot. Either way, if it was a egg shell issue I wouldn't give her scratch until its resolved.

I hope its just her being stressed from her ordeal.

I'm having some health issues and it's been a bit of a mystery. I'm going for more testing to see if they can figure it out. Hopefully they will get it figured out so I can get on a path to feeling better.

Downsizing will make it easier to manage with all this fatigue.
