I haven't candled Vader's yet. Day 7 today. My brightest flashlight can't even see into the green ones, so there is no chance with the Marans eggs. It's not worth losing a finger (or two) to only candle 5 of 18 eggs. Vader is appearantly very well named...she is a MEAN broody!

What award did you win?

Oh my, I didn't think I would ever get through the pages I missed. By the time I got to the end I had forgotten what happened to who. So if you lost a chick, sorry, if you gained any, congrads, if I missed your bday, hope it was good, if your sick, hope you get better, if your new, welcome!! Hope I hadn't missed anyone.

Noskiveez. I wanted to come to town to pickup my fuzzybutts. My son broke his leg Sunday, awful break where the bones are joined at the knee along with breaking the knee. He drove himself to CG Regional where we waiting a total of 8 hours before they transfered him to Phoenix at 11.00. He was told a surgeon was waiting there for him. There was no surgeon and we were told there would not be one until early am. I left and got home at 3:00 am. My son called me at 6:00 saying he was trying to leave the hospital and they called security. No surgeon arrived until noon. At that time after waiting 24 hours to eat and drink he was told to go home and let the leg heal for a week and they would re-break it and pin it in a week. He was in so much pain that they almost OD him on narcotics. We tend to be narcotic naive in our family (though no fault of our own) so I have become high pain tolerant and often had babies without medication even when on the PIT. My son on the other hand was a mess. I brought him home yesterday hallucination and screaming at everyone. It was a rough two days with only 3 hours sleep. We didn't get home last night until 8 and I was out of it. I broke my patella 7 years ago and I recall how painful it was for the first two or three days. Pray we keep our sanity and not kill anyone.. I might be able to pick them up today when I pickup Katie (she works at the Boy and Girls Club)

Today is the day! Yea for all you Easter Hatchers!

Gee, I feel left out now. I didn't gather eggs for the Easter Hatch because I still had 30 left from my last weeks hatch. Sold everyone of them this afternoon. So now I have an empty brooder and empty incubator. What was I thinkin!
