Arizona Chickens

i like walking my chihuahua i only take out the chihuahua because we have a pitbull
but the dog weights more and its harder to handle if he gets mad and i dont want to
risk the pitbull biting someone so we only take out the chihuahua and my pitbull runs
fast and after my heart surgery i cant run fast i get short of breath fast

I walk my 5 pound chihuahua and my 91 pound lab together ... looks silly! I leave the 2.8 pounder at home because I end up carrying her when she gets tired.

Mahonri,
Here are your grandbabies

Which kind of Marans do they look like? One, somehow didn't get that pic, has a chipmunk face like my cuckoo marans had as a baby. The others are all like the pictures.

Here's the smallest baby, that needed help out. Started zipping and just quit after about 1/4 inch.

Oh, I never updated, but the last four didn't hatch. 3 pipped internally and drowned. 1 never pipped, and seemed to be getting weaker, so I opened the air cell and wrapped up in warm, wet paper towels ... it was too weak to hatch even like that. So, 14 total

Did one of your chickens get scratched?

only humans can get cat scratch disease and they get it by a bite or a scratch from the cats its said in the article
my gradma use to have cats but we never had cats we have raise birds, dogs, rabbits, goats, fishes
i have seen cats in the neighborhood a neighbor has cat food in front of her house for all the wild
cats in the neighborhood here is the link http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/healthy/firstaid/bites/024.html

Cats also OFTEN carry pasteurella (dogs too). Doesn't make them ill, but it can infect humans, poultry and rabbits through a bite. Maybe others. With rabbits it is called snuffles, and is a horrid, horrid disease. With chickens it is fowl cholera. There is no effective vaccine.

Laree--Your broody hen pics are hilarious! How did you get so many broody at once? I love your pic editing ont he last one.

ca--You totally had me on the edge of my seat! That rotten little critter! I don't know how you could keep him out. Those things are smart!
