Heck we are neighbors it seems.

Taking the Tucson roo to help out since he is a well liked bird and my kids fell in love looking at the photo.... Well.... Maybe I like him a little as well

Got up super early and soaked the chicken yard, especially the spots they hang out. Filled the pen with wading pans and water dishes, even more than usual. Going to to spray down the yard a few extra times also. Haven' t lost any yet but worried for my 4 brahmas.Good luck, hope everyones birds make it through this heat spell

I did the eggtopsy this morning, all the eggs got to about day 16 and then died

I have two Silkies that I am hoping to find homes for. One is Buff and one is White. They are buddies and they are both laying though it is somewhat slowed down since it has gotten so hot out. I am hoping to keep them together.

So I picked up a roo from constance last week. This morning, I heard crowing from our coop!...


...it was the black silkie

Well, my wife did want a silkie roo. Now we have a pair of silkies.

No one wants my trio of chickens! I thought $12 for 3 was super mega cheap! Are you sure that you guys don't want them? $9?

I can't believe it! They are so cute, and it is a good price. I didn't have much luck with CL either. I gave up. We will be processing many of the roos.
