Driving home from DD#1's house with DD#2 I see this hawk which is 3 houses down from her.
Got my pics, disgusted with myself as I did not have my telephoto lens with me and back on the road home.
As I was driving along Thunderbird DD#2 says mom, turn down the side street, I think I saw a chicken in the street. Or maybe it is a roadrunner?? I turned and we got to the house and running in the driveway was a lone chicken. She says, what shall we do? We need to save it. I've got the window rolled down and DD#2 proceeds to bok bok bok at it. ( DD#2 is 21 yrs old!) It actually listened to her and then ran up to the back gate and flew over the wall. I could see a coop in the back yard through the gate slats. What an exciting drive home!
